COVID-19 Response Plan

Steel Boundary Fencing is committed to continue to supply installation services for as long as the government/health authorities allow us to. 
We are looking at the following measures to allow us to do so safely 
No worker will be allowed onsite if the are any of the following symptoms o Are sick o Have a fever o Have a cough o Have a sore throat o Experience fatigue o Experiencing shortness of breath o Other signs of illness/flu like symptoms o Have been overseas in the last 14 days o Have been in contact with a conformed or suspected case of Covid-19 o Have been instructed/advised to self-isolate We will also be adhering to the Governments social rules including o Keeping 1.5m from yourself and others o Avoiding crowds and gatherings o Communicate within our team and other trades to best manage social distancing o No shaking hands or any unnecessary contact within the workplace or at home o Washing of hands often with soap and water o Avoid touching eyes, nose & mouth with unwashed hands o Cover your mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing or if one is not available to do so into your inner elbow 
 
CONTINUATY OF WORKS 
 Steel Boundary Fencings core group of suppliers are small businesses with less than 10 people in any confined areas which are also setting their own Covid-19 procedures to minimize the risk of infection. Steel Boundary Fencing's permanent employees all (and always have) work remotely, we have no physical office. In the case of an infection the employee will still be able to continue working, however will be unable to participate in any site visits, however if our installers and/or clients need our advice/opinion we are able to video contact them via Whats App (and similar platforms). Power Outages - If these occur, we have generators to be able to continue on with our works. 90% of our tools are now battery powdered, so a lot of the time the generator would only be necessary to recharge batteries. Supplies - All of our suppliers are constantly keeping us updated as to their Covid-19 policies/procedures and to date are all still operational. At this stage it seems the construction industry is going to keep moving forward unless the next stage of total lockdown of the country is implemented. 

ADVICE 
Please Note: The Covid-19 virus can live on nonferrous metals for up to 4 days, hence once we have finished a job, we advise that any unnecessary contact with the fence should not be made within this period. If installation of a gate occurs, we will wash down with soapy water, but still minimum contact is advised.
